Youth at Lighthouse is a place where teenagers can belong, build strong friendships, and grow in their faith. We create a fun and welcoming environment where young people can ask questions, explore who God is, and learn what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life. Lighthouse Kids is a safe and fun children’s ministry at Lighthouse Family Church in Gqeberha. Age appropriate Bible teaching for kids during both morning services. CHECK OUT A COMMUNITY GROUP We value doing life in community. Our Community Groups are open, growing groups that meet throughout Gqeberha during the week. They provide a space to build lasting relationships, explore who God is, and discover what it means to follow Him. Everyone is welcome—there are no prerequisites to join. As groups grow, they naturally multiply, creating more opportunities for connection and new people to get involved. Community groups help us stay accountable, deepen our faith, and experience spiritual growth together as we walk with Christ. Is there a place for me to serve? Absolutely! Lighthouse wouldn’t be what it is without people from all walks of life using their unique gifts and skills to serve both inside and outside the church. There’s a place for you here, and we’d love for you to discover how you can get involved. Is there a place for my kids? Absolutely! We love families, and children of all ages are welcome at Lighthouse. LitKids runs during our 8:00 and 10:00 morning services, providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children from birth through elementary school. What should I wear? Whatever you’re most comfortable in! There’s no dress code at Lighthouse—come as you are. Whether that’s jeans and a T-shirt or something a little more dressed up, you’ll fit right in. MEET OUR ASSOCIATE PASTOR MARC HEMMENS is husband to Debbie and father to Anthony, Jodie, and Sarah. He has loved watching God guide each of them on their own unique journeys of faith. He leads the community group ministry, preaches, and serves in several pastoral roles. Debbie and he are passionate about building strong marriages and dream of a multi-cultural church and society where honour, respect, and devotion to Jesus shape every relationship. He loves Lighthouse for the way the church pursues God in the fullness of His Spirit, while keeping laughter, joy, and community at the heart of everything. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and soaking in moments of everyday life.
