Lighthouse Kids is a safe and fun children’s ministry at Lighthouse Family Church in Gqeberha. Age appropriate Bible teaching for kids during both morning services. CHECK OUT A COMMUNITY GROUP We value doing life in community. Our Community Groups are open, growing groups that meet throughout Gqeberha during the week. They provide a space to build lasting relationships, explore who God is, and discover what it means to follow Him. Everyone is welcome—there are no prerequisites to join. As groups grow, they naturally multiply, creating more opportunities for connection and new people to get involved. Comm Groups at Lighthouse are small, welcoming gatherings where people connect, grow in faith, and support one another. Each group meets to study the Bible, share life experiences, pray together, and encourage one another in their spiritual journey. When and where do Comm Groups meet? Can Comm Groups help me grow spiritually? Comm Groups are designed to help you grow in your faith. Through Bible study, open discussion, prayer, and encouragement from others, you’ll gain practical insights and spiritual support to live out your faith every day. Can I ask questions about faith in the group? Absolutely. Comm Groups are a safe and welcoming space to ask questions, explore doubts, and discuss your faith. Leaders and members encourage open conversation so everyone can learn and grow together. MEET OUR ASSOCIATE PASTOR MARC HEMMENS is husband to Debbie and father to Anthony, Jodie, and Sarah. He has loved watching God guide each of them on their own unique journeys of faith. He leads the community group ministry, preaches, and serves in several pastoral roles. Debbie and he are passionate about building strong marriages and dream of a multi-cultural church and society where honour, respect, and devotion to Jesus shape every relationship. He loves Lighthouse for the way the church pursues God in the fullness of His Spirit, while keeping laughter, joy, and community at the heart of everything. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and soaking in moments of everyday life.

MEN'S MINISTRY Our men’s ministry is headed up by a team led by Morne Redlynhuys We believe that it is so important for men to grow in their faith together. God has placed some responsibility on men in society, marriage, the family and the church and so we want to encourage and support our men as we grow up in Him Eph 4. To this end we get together to spur one another on as iron sharpens iron. During the year we will host a few breakfasts where we get the chance to eat good manly food, drink strong coffee and pray for one another. We have played paintball because no matter how old you are, most guys still like to shoot stuff… and one another! Around Father’s Day each year we go to the House of Resurrection children’s home to spend some time with the children there and just for a day, show them what godly men and fathers look like. We are aiming for a men’s camp next year and are intentional about building bridges in our society by partnering with other churches to have an impact for the Kingdom. We believe that these bring about natural connection, accountability to one another, and a spiritual depth as we journey in our walk with Christ together.
