DISCOVER WAYS FOR KIDS TO GET INVOLVED AT LIGHTHOUSE
EXPERIENCING THE GOSPEL AND HAVING A WHOLE LOT OF FUN.
Lighthouse Kids is a safe and loving environment where children experience the hope of the Gospel while having a lot of fun.
We believe a child’s early experience of church shapes their faith for years to come. That is why we create spaces kids love. Our goal is to help them grow in their love for God, His Word, and His people.

LIT KIDS
A SAFE AND FUN ENVIRONMENT FOR KIDS
WHAT TO EXPECT
At Lighthouse Kids, our teachers are background-checked, enthusiastic, and love connecting with every child. Kids explore Bible stories and lessons that are age-appropriate, teaching values, faith, and practical life lessons in ways they can understand. Learning is brought to life through games, crafts, and activities that make each experience fun and memorable.
OUR PROGRAMS
ClubLIT
Our Junior Youth (Grades 1–7) meet on Friday afternoons from 5:30 to 7:15 pm. We create a fun, loving, and safe environment where kids can build connections with God and with each other. Our focus is on practical spiritual teaching, helping them live out their faith in ways that honor God and make a real impact on their friends, situations, and relationships.

LITKids Children's Church
Children’s Church (Grades 1–7) meets during both morning services on a Sunday. Our goal is to help children grow a love for Jesus and for the church family. We focus on fun, creativity, sharing together, and learning about the Bible and Jesus, while nurturing a love for being in God’s house with His people.
Children’s Church is not school – it’s all about building relationships.

DIVORCE CARE FOR KIDS (DCFK)
A weekly support group for children aged 5–12.
We meet for 10 weeks during the first term of each year. Through videos, conversation, games, and activities, we help children develop skills to cope with and process the impact of their parents’ divorce.
We share a light supper together in a safe and fun environment that encourages open communication and new friendships.
MEET OUR
CHILDREN'S PASTOR
KIM ANDERSON grew up in Pinelands, Cape Town. After school she studied beauty therapy. In 1995 she met Trevor, and after they married in 1997 she moved to Gqeberha.
Kim has always had a heart for children and began teaching Children’s Church at the age of 16. After completing her Educare training, she became a preschool teacher in 2007. In 2015 God opened the door for her to lead the Children’s Church at Lighthouse full time.
She loves seeing the moment when children begin to understand who God is and how much He loves them. She also has a heart for women to discover their identity as God sees them.
In her spare time Kim enjoys handwork, puzzles, reading, and following reality TV.
