At Lighthouse, we aim to honour God and His Word in how we give and manage finances. We stay open and accountable so every member understands our values and their role.

First, our budget comes entirely from the tithes and offerings of our members. We do not receive outside funding. These funds support our operational costs and our ministries. We also aim to allocate 25 percent of our budget to missions, including our tithe.

Second, we handle all finances with wisdom, faith, and transparency. No single person controls the accounts. All expenses require approval. Members review and vote on the budget, so everyone shares in the responsibility.

Third, we value generosity because God has been generous to us. We do not give out of guilt or pressure. We invite each person to take part in giving with a willing heart, as taught in 2 Corinthians 8:7. We trust God to provide for every need.

Our approach is shaped by Scripture:

Malachi 3:10 to 11 teaches the importance of tithing and the blessing that follows faithful giving. We see this as an opportunity to trust God.

Matthew 23:23 shows that Jesus affirmed the principle of tithing.

2 Corinthians 9:7 calls us to give freely and cheerfully, led by the Spirit. This is what we pursue.
