WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament, in their original writings as fully inspired of God, and accept them as the final authority for faith and life.

  • We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.

  • We believe in the priesthood of all believers.

  • We believe in the resurrection both of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal banishment of those who have rejected the offer of salvation.

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances, baptism and the Communion, to be observed as acts of obedience and as perpetual witnesses to the cardinal facts of the Christian faith.

  • We believe that God created man in His own image; that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of death, physical and spiritual; and that all human beings inherit a sinful nature.

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus died for our sins, a substitutionary sacrifice, according to the Scriptures, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate.

  • We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit, His regenerating work, and abiding presence in the true believer.

  • We believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.

  • We believe that baptism is the immersion of the believer in water as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection, and that the Communion is the partaking of bread and wine as symbolic of the Saviour's broken body and shed blood, in remembrance of His Sacrificial death till He comes.

  • We believe that all Christians are called to a life of holiness, devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and service for Him, demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit and using the gifts of the Spirit.

OUR VALUES

RESPECT

People matter, so we will treat one another with dignity and respect, being patient with one another as we grow together in community.

PURPOSE

We believe in the local church, flawed as we are. It remains the means of reaching the world, so the church should therefore engage the community in which it is situated.

HONOUR

We honour God and His Word as the highest authority in our lives, as well as respecting God’s delegated authorities on earth.

GRACE

We live in a culture of grace where we accept one another without compromising on truth.

WORSHIP

We believe that God has given everyone a gift with which we are called to serve Him, as an act of worship, to the best of our ability.

TRANSPARENCY

Our faith is expressed best when we are honest, humble, child-like, and without pretense.

FAMILY

We believe that God calls us to family so we do our part in building family values.

UNITY

We are called to unity so we will respect and value the diversity of the body of Christ

CHARACTER

We believe Christ-like character is normal for every Christian and we hold each other accountable to the Word of God.

JOURNEY

We understand that we are all at different stages on the same journey of faith, and we will help each other along the way.

FREEDOM

Since Christ has set us free from the bondages of sin, dead works and religiosity, we make it our goal to grow in our understanding of who we are in Christ, and to walk in greater freedom.

RELEVANCE

We recognise that God desires to reach this generation, so that we can accept change as inevitable as we continuously seek to be relevant.
